Founded in 1962, on November 5th, the world's first Interact Club started in Melbourne, Florida. Now, there are more than 18,000 clubs in 150 countries and 400,000 members.
The name “Interact” was created by combining the words “international” and “action.”
Interact clubs organize at least 2 service projects a year, one that benefits their local community and one that promotes international understanding.
Interact is a Rotary program for youth ages 12-18.
Interact Clubs receive guidance and partial sponsorship from local Rotary Clubs; however, they govern and support themselves.
